Samples collected on farm provide animal health assurances to both farmers and livestock importers, and independent assertion of free-of-disease status for live-animal exports.

Serology testing services for animal diseases

CAE testing and certification for goat herds
Voluntary Caprine Encephalitis and Arthritis (CEA) testing and certification is provided by AsureQuality to goat farmers who wish to control and eradicate the disease from their herds for animal health and commercial benefits.
Blood sampling service for EBL and BVD
AsureQuality are able to test for Enzootic Bovine Leukosis (EBL) and Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD) so your herd can achieve higher health status and ultimately better return.
DNA sampling
At times DNA samples may be required, these are done by either collecting a tissue sample or a blood sample which are then sent off to the labs for testing. Other specific sampling that may be done throughout the year is bull acquisition samples or samples for export animals to the requirements of the importing country.
Sire proving, weighing and DNA sampling
This service is used by artificial breeding companies for verifying parentage in Sire Proving herds. Cattle are weighed and blood tested.
Soil DDT sampling
AsureQuality can provide soil DDT testing in the South Island, as a condition to dairy conversion and approval to supply. This service is provided for any farmer but predominantly is utilised by those farmers converting farms to Dairy operations or for Dairy grazing. The determined DDT levels will indicate the suitability of the land for the intended enterprise.
Inhibitory substances - Charm Test, Delvo Test
Our rapid detection tests (Charm test and Delvo test) can confirm on site if your milk has been contaminated by antibiotics. This can be done on site or you can bring the contaminated milk into your local AsureQuality office in a clean container.
