International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) Certification is reassurance for retailers and branded manufacturers of the standards met by you as a supplier in areas such as food safety management, quality management and environmental management. AsureQuality, as an approved Certification Body for the ISO Standards, can help you achieve this.

What are the ISO Standards and why do you need them?

We are accredited to provide auditing and certification services for the following ISO Standards:

ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)

ISO 9001 is a business management tool used to develop, maintain and continually improve your quality system through monitoring and measurement of performance against your own business goals and objectives.
All requirements of ISO 9001are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size and product provided.

Gaining certification will enable your business to demonstrate its ability to consistently produce goods and/or services that meet defined criteria.

Access to specific markets

ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS)

ISO 14001 is a management tool used to consider the environmental impact of your business activities on the environment and develop and implement ways of managing those aspects that you can control or influence. Continual improvement is facilitated through measuring and monitoring performance against your own goals and objectives.

The range and complexity of your EMS will depend on factors such as your organisation's environmental policy, the nature of your activities, products and/or services and their impact on the environment as well as environmental regulatory requirements such as Resource Consent conditions.

The standard is applicable to any organisation, regardless of size or product.

ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System (FSM)

This standard comprises the principles of Quality Management and HACCP and is used to develop, maintain and continually improve your food safety management system through monitoring measuring performance and product conformity against established food safety parameters.

This standard is applicable to all organisations involved in the food chain regardless of size or product.

Steps to gaining ISO Certification
 

Step 1
Development of the Quality, Environmental or Food Safety Management System documentation.
Step 2
Submit an application for service provision and certification. An AsureQuality representative will discuss your needs and formulate a proposal appropriate to and based on the size and complexity of your activities. Contact: CSR
Step 3
Stage One audit of the Initial Certification process - assessment of the compliance of your organisation’s documentation to the requirements of the chosen standard and your state of readiness for the Stage two audit.
Step 4
Stage Two audit of the Initial Certification process – assessment of the implementation of your organisation’s management system.
Step 5
Once any corrections or amendments from the Stage Two audit have been successfully completed, a certification decision is made and a certificate is issued.
Step 6
Ongoing maintenance of your certification is determined through surveillance audits scheduled at defined intervals over a two-year period and a recertification audit every three years.
