AsureQuality has a proud history of providing testing for dioxin and other persistent organic pollutants (POPs) at ultra-trace levels to government regulators, industry, research institutions and other interested parties in the Asia Pacific region and the United States of America.

We became, in 1987, the first laboratory in the Southern Hemisphere to be accredited to analyse dioxins, and shortly after undertook testing for the first dioxin inventory in this region (the New Zealand Ministry for the Environment’s Organochlorines Programme). We are registered under the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) as a Tier 1 Laboratory.
AsureQuality is one of the primary laboratories providing testing services for a major ecological and human health risk assessments arising from concerns related to a site in the United States of America. These studies called upon AsureQuality’s technical expertise to overcome difficult matrices and demanding limits of detection while ensuring that the integrity of the data is robust, precise and accurate, and our quality systems and data packages meet the requirements of the US EPA.
We have also been involved since the late 1990’s in determining dioxin contamination levels for remediation of one of the most polluted dioxin sites in Australia, and occupational exposure concerns arising from chemical production and activity at contaminated sites.
Scope of testing
AsureQuality’s capability and scope of accreditations is now unparalleled with respect to both the range of sample types and dioxin-like and endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs) we test. We are focussed on growing our expertise to keep up to date with the increasing number of chemicals of concern, emerging POPs, regulatory demands and the particularly stringent requirements of human health and ecological risk assessments.
We also provide testing of human food and animal feeding stuffs to meet the stringent European Commission Directives.
Testing techniques
AsureQuality has an experienced team of professionals, three high-resolution mass spectrometers that are housed in a state-of-the-art facility based in Wellington, New Zealand. We are dedicated to providing ultra-trace testing of dioxins and other persistent organic pollutants to fulfil the most demanding client requirements.
