We use a combination of visual and analytical chemistry techniques to help identify the pollutant or contaminant, determine its origin or provide leads for further investigation.
These include:
- Optical Microscopy
- Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy/ Microscopy (FTIR),
- Scanning electron microscopy - Energy dispersive x-ray analysis (SEM-EDX),
- Gas chromatography (MS, FID, ECD, HRMS)
- Liquid chromatography (MSn, Ion trap, UV, Fluorescence)
